We had our new clothes but she didn't get us any shoes! I went to school the first day wearing the same pair of ratty keds that I had worn all summer. My mom was mortified but we got to go shoes shopping after school. :)Jessica G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10641255166732692924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837847802769446712.post-66737342328862363642008-08-22T05:47:00.000-07:002008-08-22T05:47:00.000-07:00OK-before I post about school memeories: your kids...OK-before I post about school memeories: your kids are super cute and tall ;) I laughed at the part with the blinding tennis shoes-SO TRUE! LOL Also, last night they showed a report that the Chinese girl who was one of 3 in question of being 16-they found documents showing she's actually 14!! That I believe. So, this could get interesting... ;)

OK, now for memories. I was always nervous for the first day of school. I am not a shy or quiet person, but for the most part that's how I was at school. Unbelievable you might say-but true. :) hee hee I loved learning and I loved dance, drama and chior but the social aspect of High School was not fun for me. I have a lot more self confidence now and would kind of like to see how much that would have changed my school experience.... lol!Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00140021487212588309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837847802769446712.post-41566574103997565452008-08-20T19:35:00.000-07:002008-08-20T19:35:00.000-07:00I loved school!!!!!!!!! I remember it was cool to put your laces in these little spiral curls.

When I was a teacher the first day was so exciting and nerve racking at the same time. I wanted everything to be perfect and I had spent so long getting my classroom ready. I remember thinking...today is the day that I meet my class and set the tone for how the whole school year will go. Well, it was a great first day that led to a wonderful year of 4th grade.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837847802769446712.post-60494868135204001802008-08-20T16:39:00.000-07:002008-08-20T16:39:00.000-07:00My fondest memory of school is riding my banana se...My fondest memory of school is riding my banana seat bike everyday to and from school. School was fun, sure, but for me it was my sweet ride. I remember no bike before, or after it.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18184720890555297487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837847802769446712.post-15280784006272810572008-08-20T12:39:00.000-07:002008-08-20T12:39:00.000-07:00I always loved the back to school shopping. My mom would drag us all over the place, in and out of dressing rooms until we had enough jeans, sweaters and shoes to last the year!Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13637283206538758617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837847802769446712.post-35816248058302554082008-08-19T13:41:00.000-07:002008-08-19T13:41:00.000-07:00Misty, I know what you mean- I love the smell of a...Misty, I know what you mean- I love the smell of a fresh box of Crayons!

And inevitably, Rebecca, I always got stuck sitting next to the dorks. But the best part of the first day of school was getting to see who was really in your class and hoping that your desk was near someone remotely cool.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11529295557884450403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837847802769446712.post-31136719532911827372008-08-18T16:00:00.000-07:002008-08-18T16:00:00.000-07:00I remember, EVERY year I tried to be shy and myste...I remember, EVERY year I tried to be shy and mysterious on the first day of school so people would wonder who I was. I tried to keep it up EVERY day but, it never worked. Yes, the new clothes too. But, mostly I remember the supplies!
